I finally found a bit of time to update a few of my WordPress plugins, here is a quick summary of the changes.
Socialize This – This is one of my oldest plugins, the update from 2.2.4 to 2.3.0 is mostly just a clean up of unnecessary UI linkage. Hopefully I should have version 3 finish by the summer (It’ll mostly be a recode from top to bottom).
WP HTML5 Category Selector – I removed a load of unnecessary code from the plugin & the clear button. It now makes use of the search input type.
Gist Shortcode – I’ve been using this on my site for a while now, I decided it was finally worth sharing you everyone.
One of the main changes for all the above plugins is that I’m going to try & use their GitHub repos as the main issue tracker & develop them a bit more often.
I’ve finally found some time to work on LivePage and implement a few improvements. The new version isn’t a big change visually, but backend wise it’s mostly been rewritten.
You can download the most recent LivePage from the Chrome web store (free of course).
I’ve just finished typing out the last few lines of code for LivePage 1.3, and it’s pretty slick. As side from adding a few of the requested features, I also tidied up the code a little & made a few performance tweaks.
You can download LivePage from the Chrome web store (free of course). Some of it’s key new features have been described a bit more below.
Version 1.2.1 of LivePage for Google Chrome has just been released & some of the improvements should drastically improve its performance and usefulness.
One of the key improvements is a new backed engine detecting when elements change. The new build should make the extension play more friendly with other extensions which inject HTML into your web page. It also should be more compensating for on load JavaScript page changes. I’ve also completely rebuilt the options page, it is now a heck of a lot better.
I’ve just finished released a new extension for Google Chrome which makes developing websites a little quicker. It’s called LivePage and can be downloaded from the Google Web Store right now.
In a nutshell, on pages you have set as being “live” the extension will load up a version of Live.JS which will keep your webpage on the most recent version without you having to refresh the page. Here is a short video overview, with me explaining the basics of how it works.
I just finished pushing a PHP HTML5 form class onto GitHub. It’s a bit of code I keep recycling and I thought it would be cool to share it with everyone.
Good News Everyone! I have finally got around to delivering a new wordpress plugin, creatively named “WP HTML5 Category Selector“.
In a nutshell the WP HTML5 Category Selector adds a filter input field to the category box on the add/edit post page. It’s primarily aimed at bloggers who have lots (for example more then 10) of categories.
If you have a chance to give it a try, I would love to hear you feedback (On twitter I’m @MikeRogers0).
Today the IEBlog announced you can download the IE10 Platform Preview 1. This is super cool! Furthermore, it looks like they are putting a lot of effort in supporting new CSS features such as (In order of my personal view of how awesome they are): Read More
