I have WP 284 and the icons don’t show. Where do I enter the code in the (single.php)? After what line?
    Thank you.

You place the code where you want the HTML for Socialize This to appear. Normally I put mine just before the “comments_template()” function in single.php

Hey there! Awesome plugin… and even better after the new version, with different icon sets!! I have two questions:

#1 When ever there comes a new version of the plugin, do I have to add my custom icon pack after updating the plugin with the built-in updater in WordPress, or will my custom icon pack stay untouched?

#2 There seems to be some sort of problem with the http://www.mixx.com and http://www.designfloat.com templates… when I press the Mixx button, I just get the Mixx front page… and when using the designfloat button, I get a white page with the text ” Wrong Referrer ‘http://www.tt-photo.dk/’ “… I have not changed anything in the templates section of the plugin.

Hope you can help me! and please do keep on the good work!!

You should add a donation button to your site, would like to donate you a cup of coffee or two ;)

Hi Mike – great plugin cheers.

I’ve got a whole bunch of pages already published that I’d like to create short urls for:

I’ve had a quick look at your code to no avail… is there a function I can change or add that will generate the tiny url on save/update?

    Thanks, Gareth.

      I will add a function in v1.6 to automatically (re)generate tinyURL’s :)

I have just released Socialize This v1.6.0 – Enjoy!

  11. I was wondering if there was a way to add social media sites. For instance, I want to add JapanSoc.com, a “digg” like site for Japanese related media.

    • Mike said:

In version 1.6.0 (The most recent) you can add extra bits of html in the “Extra bit of HTML” template which would let you add extra social icons for other websites.

However, in the next release (1.6.1) I intend to add a feature to let users (and template sets) add their own templates.

Is there a way to not use the short URLs? I would like the full url in my post on twitter. thanks.

  13. I’ve added the plugin but don’t see any changes; I’m thinking it has to do with the cURL requirement. What is cURL And how do I enable it in WordPress? Thanks in advance for your help.
